How Hertz car rentals work
- You can sign up with Hertz, reserve a car, and pick it up – all in one day. A $40 Uber ride credit will be automatically applied to your account to get to the rental branch.**
Dashcams
In select markets and for a limited time, your Hertz rental may come equipped with a dashcam at no additional cost. Subject to availability and not guaranteed. Dashcams are intended to help keep you and riders safe, and give you a trusted source of video when you need it.
Other requirements
- Must be age 21 or older in most cities. Drivers in Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, and Palm Springs must be age 25 or older.
- Have a credit or debit card in your Name. No prepaid cards allowed.
- Smartphone with the Uber Driver app installed
- Drivers who rent from Hertz must provide at least 30 trips per week with Uber in the rental
