Description
Hertz is now offering 7-passenger vehicle rentals that qualify for UberXL trips.* Vehicle models include Dodge Journey, Ford Explorer, Chevy Trailblazer and similar. Other benefits include:
- Vehicle insurance: Basic insurance is included in the weekly rental price. Additional, optional insurance coverage is available for purchase.
- Routine maintenance: Routine maintenance is included in the weekly rental price. Hertz provides oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks. When maintenance is needed, drivers will receive a voucher from Hertz to get maintenance completed.
- Select models are eligible for Uber Comfort: Some UberXL vehicles from Hertz are eligible for Uber Comfort. To be eligible to receive Uber Comfort requests, you need to drive an eligible vehicle, have completed at least 100 trips, and maintain a minimum rating of 4.85. Note that minimum year requirements vary based on vehicle make and model. Learn more about current vehicle eligibility in your city here.

Other requirements
- Must be age 21 or older in most cities. Drivers in Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, and Palm Springs must be age 25 or older.
- Have an active credit or debit card
- A smartphone with the Uber Driver app installed
- Drivers who rent from Hertz must provide at least 30 trips per week with Uber in the rental
